Ross Tapp, Irishman and manager of The Brew Bar in Caen ready for St. Patrick’s Day after two years without a party
After two years without Saint-Patrick’s Day, Ross Tapp will again be able to celebrate it in his bar in Caen this Thursday, March 17. A return that excites him:
“We are extremely happy to be able to organize Saint-Patrick’s Day again and to find customers. It seemed a bit strange to us at first. We had to find all our bearings to prepare for the event as well as possible”he details.
Arrived in France twenty years ago, this Irishman is today the manager of the Brew bar, near the port. But also the owner of a brewery near Caen where he manufactures its own beers: Brasseuse and Bezotte.
“We received a lot of reservations”
Tonight, he expects a lot of people. For him, the event was eagerly awaited:
“We have received a lot of reservation requests. We already have about thirty of them. I think it’s going to be a rather festive Saint-Patrick’s Day. We are already waiting for it a lot since it’s our party. It promises to be a good evening“, he rejoices.
If he stays happy, however, he remains cautious:
“We will have to slow down a little if the influx of customers is too strong. We do not have the capacity of a restaurant. It is sometimes difficult to manage when it is a big evening. But we remain confident.”
An evening that promises to be memorable for the owner of the bar as well as for the most party-loving Normans.
