The historic second final of the LM from the Government for Poland! The Polish match will be in the semi-finals
In the semi-finals, the Jastrzębianie will face Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, which is guaranteed to participate in the next game after Dynamo Moscow is excluded from the tournament after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Polish semi-final therefore guarantees that one Polish team will play again in this year’s Champions League final.
This is a matter of history for Polish volleyball – never in the history of the Champions League, or Club Champions, Poland has not been won in the ranking of a representative in the final of the tournament in two three sections. The best of this type of results to the finals of PGE Skra Bełchatów in the 2011/2012 season and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in the 2014/2015 season. There were one separate three editions of the Champions League in the magazines.
The first LM semi-final since Polish years. “Something special, without a doubt”
– Polish semi-final? It would be such a time, no doubt about it. It’s good that it happened also for Polish volleyball, we managed to stop to use the team again in the League final – Benjamin Toniutti, the jastbian quarterback, already told us in the rematch with Cucine Lube Civitova.
ZAKSA’s meeting with Jastrzębski will be a great volleyball celebration in our country. The last time such a place in the Champions League was retained until the 2014/2015 season, when Asseco Resovia and PGE Skra Bełchatów competed in the semi-final in Berlin. from the team from Rzeszów that he made himself in the final, but lost in it 0: 3 by Zenit Kazan. In the match for the place, the Bełchatów team lost to the hosts from Berlin Recycling Volleys after the tiebreak.
We know where the LM semi-finals can take place. Great information for Polish fans
We asked the president of both clubs how to play the Polish tie. It will, after all, have a chance to do a lot of promotion of Polish volleyball, often the essence of the Champions League games, which are played in the field research, rather than those from which the clubs are held on a daily basis.
– they may be interested in playing in Gliwice, said the president of Jastrzębski Węgiel, Adam Gorol. You can still have over seventeen thousand that he can have for the team, maybe you have something for yourself, that you can have something for yourself, who can have your hall for a larger facility.
What about the match hosted by Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle? – We don’t have the game anywhere else than in Kędzierzyn. We will not try to do it – the president of Sport.pl-guide, Piotr Szpaczek
– Who would we like in the semi-finals? Both clubs are equally strong opponents – Szpaczek wondered when asked by us who would he prefer as a rival before Jastrzębski’s rematch with Lube. – Both teams are on a similar level, but it would be possible for the good of Polish volleyball, if Jastbski could be promoted and that it would be “our semi-final” – said the activist. They will be fulfilled. The meetings are scheduled for March 29-31, April 5-7.
