Greece 13-7: She paid for her absences
The women’s national team was defeated 13-7 by the Netherlands in Rotterdam for the World League qualifiers but qualified for the next phase to be held in April in Spain.
The Women’s National Water Polo Team was defeated 13-7 by the Netherlands for the World League qualifiers, in a match that took place in Rotterdam.
With this match, the First European group was completed. Our National team defeated Hungary 15-14 on penalties, which was imposed on the Netherlands 11-9. All three teams will continue in the next phase (April 22-24 in Santa Cruz, Spain) transferring points and results.
A final group will be held there, where Italy and Spain will also compete (from the 2nd qualifying round). Three teams from Europe will qualify for the Super Final. Another four will be from the Intercontinental and the country that will organize.
The National team lined up with 11 players. It reduced to 4-3 and 5-4 in the second eight minutes, a little later to 7-5, but the host with a series of 5-0, made it 12-5. Top scorer for Greece with three goals is Eleftheria Plevritou.
