Near Lyon, college students savor the lifting of the wearing of masks

The end of the current mask, the students have a little trouble believing it. This is the case of Kénora, a 6th grade student at the La Perrière college in Soucieu-en-Jarret, near Lyon, and who has been wearing a mask to go to class for a year and a half, i.e. since the start of her year of CM2. The end of the wearing of the compulsory mask is for her “a liberation”. “It will be better than before because with the masks, we were starting to have earaches, migraines… it was no longer possible. We will still be able to breathe better without the mask”, confides- she at the microphone of Europe 1.
The discovery of the faces of the teachers
History-geo, maths, technology, music… So many subjects intended for Candice and Mahaut have never seen the full face of their teacher. With the exception of language lessons: “French and English, we have seen them sometimes, they remove the mask for pronunciation”, underline the two schoolgirls at the microphone of Europe 1.
“We will no longer be able to eat chewing gum in class”
All the students will not regret wearing the mask, except for one thing, underlines Avril, 11 years old. “What sucks is that we won’t be able to eat chewing gum in class. Because the mask was able to chew on the sly, that’s good. Sometimes the teachers noticed it but most of the time, no”, jokes the young girl.
Despite everything, Avril, like many of her friends, will still slip a mask into her pocket this Monday morning. “Just in case … You never know what can happen,” she said on Europe 1.
