Toulouse: Pascale Bendayan gives voice for Ukraine
Lyrical singer and songwriter for thirty years, without forgetting his pianist talents, Pascale Bendayan has decided to participate in solidarity towards Ukraine in his own way.
“I only know how to sing,” she says. So let’s sing…
After posting on Facebook a call for goodwill to her artist friends, on April 5 she gave “A choir, voices for Ukraine”, a four-hour concert performance (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) at the Maison d’ Occitanie in Toulouse, authorized by nine singers who immediately accepted his proposal: “We had a lot of positive responses, she believes. We have selected several semi-professional singers used to Toulouse scenes including Yony Benitah, Camille Melki, Gabriel and Jean-Marc Leclerc, who will sing in Ukrainian. As well as Marie-Françoise, Accordionist, Omar Hassan, Baritone Toulousain and DJ Sébastien for various animations. All inquiries are welcome”.
A fierce humanist, Pascale is very attached to peace between peoples. “The tragedies that affect populations make me particularly sensitive. In 2014, I had already sung to support the victims injured by Hurricane Christina off the coast of Mexico. My Jewish origins may explain this. I do not know. Moreover, information has always been at the heart of my daily life”.
Spontaneous in her decisions, Pascale deplores that the good will and solidarity of artists with little media coverage are so little taken into account.
“It is a pity that the goodwill of artists with little media coverage is so little taken into account”
Moreover, for the concert of April 5 supported by the city of Toulouse, Pascale to appeal to the good wishes to have the services of a sound engineer advertised material, a videographer and a photographer. “I would also like to be able to find another place in Toulouse to give another concert, always for the benefit of Ukraine”. Finally Pascale, who failed to participate in The Voice in duet with Vianney, appeals to this singer and to others who would be in the region.
