Ubisoft Sweden is working on a new game IP
Ubisoft Sweden is looking for new team members to work on a new game IP.
According to latest job post, Ubisoft Sweden wants to expand its team to work on a new game IP. The company employs for various positions in programming, design, sound, graphics, animation and VFX.
The company has not yet announced the type of game they are working on. But according to the job descriptions, Ubisoft Sweden’s new game IP will include action and combat systems and mechanics. The company describes this IP as “ambitious” and “with an online focus.”
Several tips about this new IP are hidden in the job descriptions. In it Employment for animation / engine programmer, Ubisoft Sweden states that they want to create “a new animation system and heritage” as “there is nothing today.” In terms of gameplay, Ubisoft Sweden’s new games should “offer long-term fun and deeply satisfying mastery.”
The game will run on the Snowdrop engine, Ubisoft’s proprietary game engine. This engine was first revealed with Tom Clancys The Division at E3 2013. The sequel to this game, as well as the upcoming one Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will run on the same engine.
The company is aiming high for this new game, asks Look Development Art Lead to “stretch technical boundaries to achieve the desired look.” But apart from these few indications of a new AAA game, there is so far no public information about this upcoming project.
