“Poland is not dead yet – memories of Józef Wybicki’s friendship with General Dąbrowski.” [POSŁUCHAJ] – Single
“Praski Rejtan” to the story of the enslavement of man by the communist system. Young Varsovians leave the war marked by death. However, they are still trying to be active against the setting of power. The polling point for them is the election for them in 1947 – exactly the 75th anniversary. They pay a terrible price for their resistance.
The main character, Bolek Chmielarz, is a typical boy from Warsaw’s Praga, the son of a railwayman. He is involved in PSL Mikołajczyk. They are not of foreign origin, but the agrarians are a sign for him in which one can oppose the obligation of the Polish Workers’ Party. He and his colleagues come from working class families, plebeian. However, family homes, schools and scouts shaped them in the spirit of patriotism. They believe in justice, but they imagine the language differently from the victorious communists. They fail, also abandoned by the older ones. The events in the rare cases of radio dramas are recorded in documents from the local framework. Bolek, the last man in Poland who dared to defend himself after Stanisław Mikołajczyk escaped, has his first prototype. This location has been held. I wonder if contemporary young Poles will find themselves in his experiences.
