Incredible but true… Fuel prices will literally skyrocket at service stations across the Luxemburg to the extent that the liter of diesel will be more expensive than in France.

Gasoil, unleaded 95 and 98… ​​None of the fuels is spared by the increases levied for Thursday, March 10, 2022.

Increases of up to almost 40 cents…

In detail, the Luxembourg government first announces an increase of around 23.2 cents pour the liter of lead free 95making him reach the rate of€1.89.

For his part, the lead free 98 is no exception. Its price will go up to €1,963 for one liter after an increase of 16.7 cents.

But the symbolic bar of 2 euros is crossed by the diesel. As of Thursday, this fuel will be sold at the historic price of €2,112i.e. an increase of 38.4 cents.

A hard blow for Luxembourg service stations since diesel will therefore be more expensive there than in France and in particular in Moselle where some establishments still offer it at less than 2 euros…
