“Good move”: Bayern coach Nagelsmann congratulates BVB consultant Sammer on the transfer – SOCCER CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Trembling about getting ahead? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that…
Bayern are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, swept RB Salzburg 7-1 off the field after the 1-1 draw in the first leg – and suddenly shot themselves back into the circle of title contenders.
Two of the guarantors of victory: Niklas Süle (26) and Robert Lewandowski (33). The defender, who is moving to BVB on a free transfer at the end of the season, has been in top form for weeks. Lewandowski set the course for victory for the first time with the earliest Champions League hat-trick of all time.
Coach Julian Nagelsmann (34) had already praised Süle’s performance before the game – and also spoke plainly about the negotiations for Lewandowski (contract until 2023). At Amazon he said Süle had “played well before the announcement”, but “of course it’s always more pleasant when you know what’s going to happen next year.”
The Bayern coach congratulated Borussia Dortmund on the transfer and addressed his congratulations to BVB advisor Matthias Sammer (54), who was the Amazon expert in the Champions League game: “Congratulations, Matthias – good move.”

Nagelsmann said about the poker around Lewandowski: “I’m not involved in the talks. You have to ask Hasan (Salihamidzic, ed.) or Oliver Kahn. I don’t make the dates when they celebrate either.”
But he has a clear opinion on this: “Lewy knows from me that we absolutely want to keep him. I always take him with me in my considerations because I want him to feel good, that he gets enough balls,” said Nagelsmann.
