Dijon. The Ukrainian troupe of the Odysséo cabaret sends its first collection to the country
We talk about it on Tuesday in our columns: the Odysséo cabaret, near Lake Kir in Dijon, is working with a troupe of Ukrainian artists. Which regularly go on stage to offer a music hall show. Due to the war in Ukraine, the management of the establishment and the artists organize a collection of basic necessities which must be sent to the country.
A 26-ton truck specially chartered for the occasion
This Wednesday morning, it was loading time. The Ukrainian artists deposited the depicted donations in a 26-ton truck specially chartered for the occasion. Food, habits, sofas, sheets, towels, blankets, medicines… Several pallets have been loaded.
“We are in constant contact with our families and friends,” say Anton Vasyliuk and Nazarii Faifura, members of the Ukrainian troupe. “We know that essential things are missing because of the war. The few goods that arrive in the stores on site are taken by storm. This is why Dijon is organizing this collection. »
The delivery truck will also stop in Soultzmatt in Alsace, where the other cabaret of Christophe Gonnet, the boss of Odysseo, is located, before taking the road towards Ukraine. Another convoy is also planned for the next few days.
