Health – Hanover – Infection rate in Lower Saxony remains at a high level – health
Hanover (dpa/lni) – The corona infection rate in Lower Saxony remains at a high level: the seven-day incidence on Sunday was 1172.8 after 1171.4 the day before – that’s how many new infections per 100,000 inhabitants were registered within seven days. As reported by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 10,370 new corona cases and three other deaths were recorded for Lower Saxony within one day. According to the RKI, the seven-day incidence nationwide was 1231.1.
The hospitalization incidence decreases slightly compared to the previous day – namely from 10.5 to 10.4. The value expresses the number of new patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within a week. There may also be people with a positive corona test who are in the clinic because of other illnesses. The utilization of the intensive care units with Covid 19 patients also fell slightly on Sunday to 5.7 percent after 5.8 percent on Saturday.
The district of Grafschaft Bentheim on the border with the Netherlands once again had by far the highest incidence compared to the municipalities – namely 2792.8. Behind it lay the district of Schaumburg (1610.4) and the city of Wolfsburg (1589.1). The city of Delmenhorst had the lowest value on Sunday with 566.4, as can be seen from an overview on the state government’s website.
In the state of Bremen, the seven-day incidence has fallen significantly again. Bremen had a value of 615.6 on Sunday after 663.7 on Saturday. As on the previous day, no further deaths were reported on Sunday.
