Demonstrators are gathered this Saturday afternoon in Luxembourg to protest against the war in Ukraine.
The association called “LUkraine” launched a new call to demonstrate this Saturday. The main message conveyed by the ASBL can be read on its official website: “Stop Putin, stop the war!”
At 3 p.m., hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Place de Clairefontaine, designated as crowded. More than 2,000 according to our journalist on site. And even 3,000 affirms the OBGL, also present.
“I am Russian and against Putin and the war”, “Today Ukraine, who will be next?” could be read on the signs of some demonstrators. The union says the Russian invasion is “contrary to international law” and “must be condemned in the strongest possible terms”. Several Luxembourg elected officials were seen in the rally.
The conflict affects many in Luxembourg. Many families have pledged to receive Ukrainian refugees. Collections of material were also granted throughout the country.
