Police pull stoned drug drivers out of traffic – Salzburg
On Thursday, the police in Salzburg observed two conspicuous drivers. During an inspection, it turned out that both were stoned at the wheel.
The police in Salzburg pulled two drug drivers out of circulation on Thursday. A 21-year-old driver catches the officer with his uncontrolled driving style. The police officers stopped the vehicle and then carried out an alcohol test.

But the alcohol test was negative, the driver had 0.0 per thousand alcohol in the blood. A subsequent drug test confirmed the police’s suspicions: the saliva test was positive for THC.
Medical officer confirms drug use
Another control of a 30-year-old driver, also in the city of Salzburg, was almost identical. He also caught the attention of a police patrol because of his special driving style. After a negative alcohol test, the drug saliva test was positive.
Both men were brought before a medical officer. The confirmed the driver’s unfitness to drive. Both drug drivers are now rid of their driver’s licenses and are prohibited from continuing to drive. Both the 21-year-old and the older 30-year-old admitted to using cannabis. In both cases, the police filed a complaint.
