Prime Minister Heger: Slovakia supports Ukraine’s accession to the EU, it needs a clear European perspective
Slovakia supports the accession of Ukraine to the European Union (EU). He announced this to Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽANO). According to him, the Ukrainian people need a clear European perspective today.

On Monday (February 28), Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed an application for Ukraine’s membership in the EU. Earlier in the video, he stated that he was asking the European Union for immediate accession under a new special procedure.
The President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, together with seven other presidents of the EU member states, called for the rapid accession of Ukraine to the European Union on Monday. EU Member States call for them to unite and speak openly about political support for Ukraine and to support steps among the EU institutions to grant EU candidate status to Ukraine without delay and to start the negotiation process. In addition to Čaputová, the presidents signed The Republic of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Slovenia.
