A superstar from FC Bayern Munich is very surprised by an announcement by Hasan Salihamidzic. Is there a change in the summer in the room?

Munich – FC Bayern Munich won the important game at Eintracht Frankfurt. In the Frankfurt Arena, coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team narrowly won, but won 1-0. The golden goal was scored by Leroy Sane. The thoughts of the players, officials and fans that evening were not only with the Bundesliga, but also with the people of Ukraine.

Robert Lewandowski, captain of FC Bayern Munich in this game, decided to make a special gesture. “I decided to wear the Ukrainian armband because what is currently happening in Ukraine is unacceptable for the whole world,” he said in an interview with pay-TV broadcaster Sky. “We must support all of Ukraine. I didn’t think something like this could happen. That hurts. I don’t think you can take sport out of politics. I can’t imagine being on the pitch against Russia in a month and forgetting what’s going on. That is unacceptable,” Lewandowski continued.

Bayern Munich: Lewandowski before departure?

The Pole will celebrate the next German championship with FC Bayern Munich and also triumph in the Champions League. But what happens to him after the current season? His contract expires in summer 2023. If he does not extend it, he could leave the German record champions free of charge next year. But that is a scenario that the club wants to avoid in any case.

After the game at Eintracht Frankfurt, Hasan Salihamidzic, sports director at FC Bayern Munich, was asked about Robert Lewandowski’s future and whether a departure in the summer would be possible. “He’s back on track to hopefully propel our team to titles. That’s why it’s out of the question,” said the sports director at pay-TV broadcaster Sky.

Bayern Munich: Lewandowski surprised by Salihamidzic’s announcement

Robert Lewandowski was reported with Salihamidzic’s statement and was extremely surprised when he heard the words of Bayern Munich’s sports director. “I’m hearing that for the first time. I am very calm on this subject. You have to stay calm when you get older,” said the Pole with a smile on his face.

It doesn’t seem as if the contract negotiations between FC Bayern Munich and Robert Lewandowski are widely observed. The striker could be eyeing a departure after the current season. Rumors of a possible move have been rife in the past, currently he IS linked with French giants Paris Saint Germain. There he could succeed Kylian Mbappé, who is expected to move to Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, the Munich scouting department is currently looking at the transfer market: A central defender from Italy is probably the focus of FC Bayern. An offensive jewel from FC Bayern Munich could face a surprising move to neighboring Austria. (smr)
