BCP 724 workers in Portugal in 2021 – Observer
BCP ended 2021 with 6,289 workers in Portugal, 724 fewer than at the end of 2020, according to accounts released by the bank this Monday.
With a reduction in employees, BCP had a cost of 90.7 million euros last year.
At this Monday’s press conference to present the results for 2021 (profits of 138.1 million euros in 2021, 24.6% less than in 2020), the executive chairman of BCP, Miguel Maya, said that the worker exit process was “very difficult” and “demanding for the organization”but it was necessary to “guarantee the bank’s sustainability”.
As for branches, at the end of 2021, BCP had 434 branches in Portugal, 44 less than in 2020.
