Toulouse: the Marcaissonne funeral home will soon enter into service
The new Marcaissonne funeral center at 12 avenue de Gameville in Toulouse will be taken care of on Thursday March 10. This metropolitan facility was built on 12 hectares of former agricultural land, in a non-urbanized sector to improve the reception of families supported by bereavement. The building of more than 1,670 m2 was designed, in brick, organized around a cloister, inspired by Toulouse heritage such as the Jacobins. Pied-droits Verret, an architect from Toulouse, associated with a specialist in sacred architecture, Paolo Zermani, wanted to marry tradition and modernity. This funeral center will welcome the families of the deceased in a peaceful setting. All around, shrubs, conifers and trees have been planted. Funeral homes will be available for families who wish to seek treatment from their loved ones, as well as a ceremony room.
The Haute-Garonne, which thought of only one crematorium, regularly saturated, in Cornebarrieu, thus sees the arrival of three new facilities of this type, including two near Toulouse. With the one, operational for a few months in Villefranche-de-Lauragais and soon the site of Lavernose-Lacasse, in Muretain.
In Comminges, the crematorium project carried out by the Sivom Saint-Gaudens/Montréjeau/Aspet/Magnoac has not yet evolved, but the equipment remains an objective for the elected representatives of the sector.
