The Olympic duo Rinaldi-Vain honored by ASM this Sunday at the Louis-II stadium
This Wednesday, AS Monaco received the two Monegasque bobsledders at the Performance Center.
Rudy Rinaldi and Boris Vain directed the best performance in the history of Monegasque Olympic sport at the Beijing Winter Olympics. Back in Monaco, they were both able to attend the club’s training match at La Turbie and will be honored on Sunday at the Louis-II stadium.
Greeted by Vice-President and General Manager, Oleg Petrov, who congratulated them on their Olympic performance, Rudy and Boris were delighted to be present at the training centre.
” It’s amazing how much is put in place for players to perform confessed Boris Vain during the friendly match between ASM and Brentford (2-1). A feeling shared by his bobsleigh teammate who recognizes that ” the training conditions are formidable “.
The two 28-year-old athletes took advantage of this visit to share their adventure in Beijing where they led the Principality to 4th Olympic rank. ” We really felt the whole country behind us, it was incredible said Rudy. ” It’s an honor added Boris. This result rewards the team’s six years of hard work. The Monegasque bobsledders have also undergone three operations over the past four years.

As football fans, Rudy and Boris recalled some unforgettable memories of AS Monaco. There is the epic in the Champions League 2003-2004 and this quarter-final against Real Madrid, or that of 2016-2017, when ASM reached the semi-finals with its former star players like Kylian Mbappé, Bernardo Silva or Fabinho.
They will have the opportunity to see Philippe Clément’s team again, this Sunday, at work at the Stade Louis-II against the Stade de Reims (1 p.m.).
