Solidarity with Ukraine: Student organized rally – Liechtenstein
VADUZ – Because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a solidarity demonstration took place on Peter-Kaiser-Platz on Saturday. The rally was organized by a student.
As a Volksblatt.li reader reported, several people gathered on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. on Peter-Kaiser-Platz in Vaduz to express their solidarity with Ukraine.
The state police told the “Fatherland” that a permit had been obtained. According to the information, about 110 people took part. According to a report by Radio Liechtenstein, the demo was organized by a student from the University of Liechtenstein.

Liechtenstein’s government has also expressed solidarity with Ukraine in the past few days and has strongly condemned Russia’s war of aggression. Liechtenstein will support the expected sanctions imposed on Russia by the international community. In addition, Liechtenstein is prepared to accept refugees from Ukraine.
Foreign Minister Dominique Hasler assured the Czech Foreign Minister of Liechtenstein’s full support and solidarity. Independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity are particularly important for a country like Liechtenstein.
“The latest developments leave you speechless and sad. It is an invasion of a sovereign and democratic country without any justification or reason,” said Deputy Prime Minister Sabine Monauni on Friday afternoon at a press conference for Russia’s violation of international law.
