One kilometer of road … solution to the traffic jams of Sindos Industrial Zone
The construction of the road that will connect PATHE with the Thessaloniki-Edessa national road has been launched. The union of the 2 roads has been in demand for years
Exit to those who move from Pella to the national road Thessaloniki-Athens but mainly to those active in industrial area of Thessaloniki in Sindos will give an unfinished kilometer of road, the construction of which was launched.
This is the road to area of Agios Athanasios which will connect the national road Thessaloniki-Edessa with the PATHE axis.
The union of the two roads has been demanded for many years. The efforts made in the past did not work for various reasons, but now a solution is being launched through which with the changes in the connection that avoids the high expropriations and the critical kilometer will be built.
This solution is promoted at a design level by the Region of Central Macedonia in order to unite the two roads outside residential areas, on the other hand to provide a solution to traffic jams on the only service road of VIPETH through Diavata.
This is another request of the countries operating in the industrial area and the transporters that currently suffer from the lack of alternative connection with the two roads, which are central especially for the transport project in the wider area.
The connection is still pending for a long time and the construction of the kilometer has to share the traffic on the Thessaloniki-Edessa national road, ensuring faster and safer transportation.
