‘Brussels was in shock after Russian invasion of Ukraine’
According to political reporter Laurens Boven, Brussels was in shock after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine two days ago. “Brussels says Boven failed”, Saturday in In de Kantine on NPO Radio 1.
The European Union’s diplomatic offensive to prevent the conflict from escalating has led to nothing, says Boven. “Olaf Scholz, the new Chancellor of Germany, and Emmanuel Macron have busted the door in Kiev and also in Moscow, but they are on the viewing day by Vladimir Putin.
