10 measures adopted by the police commissioner of Genoa
In the 48 hours, to counter the latest antisocial behaviors in the nightlife areas, 10 bans on access and parking in public establishments and places of public entertainment were adopted by the commissioner.
Pursuant to art. 13 bis of Legislative Decree 14/17 as amended by Legislative Decree 130/20, the measures were applied against as many young people, for a total of 11 years, following the riots that took place in the areas of Santa Margherita Ligure, Genoa – Campi (Corso Perrone) and Chiavari.
Specifically, four measures were adopted, in as many public entities, following the descendants who took place in Santa Margherita Ligure, which provide, for each of the subjects affected by the measure, the prohibition of access and parking in the immediate vicinity of 12 businesses and premises public entertainment located in the historic center and the seaside promenade area, for a total duration of 4 years.
Furthermore, following the brawl that took place outside the nightclubs in Corso Perrone in Genoa, last February 6, which saw the involvement of many subjects, some of them armed with sticks and knives, the commissioner issued 4 measures of prohibition of access and parking in 8 public establishments and places of public entertainment in the area between corso Perrone, via Cornigliano and Piazza Massena for a total duration of 4 years.
Due, on the other hand, are the measures prohibiting access and parking, for a total duration of 3 years, to five public and public places of entertainment located in the historic center and near the promenade of the Municipality of Chiavari, issued against two subjects reported for crimes of brawl and injury.
Should the subjects affected by the measures violate the prescribed provisions in the event of non-compliance, the new legislation provides for imprisonment from 6 months to 2 years and a fine from 8,000 to 20,000 euros.
The investigation was carried out by the Anti-Crime Division which is proceeding on further cases, register on the occasion of the territorial control activities carried out by the State Police, in order to evaluate the issue of further access and parking bans in public establishments and public entertainment venues.
