Tips for a weekend in Prague: the capital will be filled with masks, choose where you will go to the carnival
Prague will come to life with carnival festivities and colorful parades. Where exactly are you going this weekend?
SATURDAY, February 26
Carnival farmers markets in Jiřák – Between 8 am and 6 pm, Jiřího z Poděbrad Square will be lively. Slaughterhouse specialties, pastries and sweet cakes will also be complemented by a limited edition carnival 12 ° designed by Pavel Fuksa, which the third part of the city has prepared especially for this occasion with the Vinohrady Brewery.
Karlín Carnival – Carnival delicacies and fresh cakes will smell right on Karlínské náměstí between 12 noon and 7 pm. A short program is prepared in Kaizlovy sady from 1 pm, after which a carnival parade will take place on Karlínské náměstí, where further entertainment awaits you. You can look forward to music, theater or creative workshops.
Letna Carnival – The traditional tour of the Letna Museums and Galleries starts at the National Technical Museum at 12:30 pm, the program continues with the neighbors at the National Agricultural Museum, through the Letka Club and the Water Tower you will then reach the Scarabeus Gallery. All masquerades have free entrance to the exhibition and the entire program.
Carnival in Takeoff – in Vršovice, the swarm of masks belongs all afternoon. Between 3 pm and 7 pm, in addition to the masquerade, you will enjoy live music, a parade and a festive feast. You can make the feast more pleasant by visiting the new exhibition Where is Eden.
Carnival parade to Chvalský chateau – at 2 pm it starts from the Horní Počernice Theater and the procession will take you to Chvalský zámek. The competition for the best family mask also fills cheerful music and rich refreshments.
Lesser Town Carnival festivities – The parade starts at 1 pm in front of the U Černého vola inn in Loretánská Street, masks arrive at Kampa via stops in local, stylish companies. Live music and an abundance of specialties guaranteed.
Střížkov Carnival – in the Václavka park in Střížkov, the masks will meet at 1 p.m. The Old Bohemian Carnival with period attractions, stalls with refreshments, music and dancing will last until 7 pm.
Kyiv carnival – The procession starts from KD Kyje and returns here again. On the way, refreshments and musical accompaniment are prepared. Veselice lasts from 2 pm to 10 pm.
Malešice Carnival Parade – the meeting of masks is at 3 pm in the courtyard of Byty Malešice. And what can you look forward to? For music, dance, masks, theater, parade and an unadulterated Old Bohemian slaughterhouse.
Carnival in Prague 13 – The carnival mood in KD Mlejn lasts from Saturday to Tuesday, March 1. You can take part in the mask production workshop all weekend, Sunday will also be marked by dance, and the highlight will be Tuesday’s mask parade.
Chaber Carnival – The meeting is at 2 p.m. in the park below the U Václava school, a parade full of masquerades will gradually reach its destination on Hrušovanské náměstí. The Prague brass band Jitřenka will play as a step forward and a carnival quiz is prepared along the entire route.
Carnival Dolní Počernice – The masks will meet at 1:30 p.m. KC Jako doma and is followed by a carnival parade of villages accompanied by live music. You won’t miss a slaughter feast or a competition for the best mask.
Carnival killer in Strahov Brewery – between 10 and 22 o’clock you can choose from the slaughterhouse menu, perform a circus performer and a stilt walker, all accompanied by live music. You have a small free beer with each mask.
Carnival Manifesto Angel – the time between 11 am and 10 pm is reserved at Anděl for luxury slaughterhouse specialties. The children will have fun in the workshop, where they will make a mask on their own.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 27
Klánovice carnival – The carnival feast begins at KC Nová Beseda at 11:30 am, after 1 pm a procession of masks will set out on the Klánovice route. The program includes a dance floor, raffle, carnival band, jugglers, jugglers, a puppet workshop and a film screening for children.
Starostrašnický carnival – Kotěr Center for Architecture cordially invites you to the carnival in Trmal’s villa from 2 pm. There will be live music and lots of goodies.
Beet carnival – historically the first carnival starts in DDM Prague 6, the children make a mask or a musical instrument, the parade then ends with a slaughter feast.
