Not efficient enough: Cologne leaves the victory against Havelse
Cologne did not get past a 0-0 draw against Havelse on Friday evening. Victoria did more for the game but didn’t reward herself. Nothing came from the promoted offensive except for two chances in the end.

Cologne coach Olaf Janßen brought the same team that won 1-0 in Saarbrücken. Havelse’s coach Rüdiger Ziehl made two changes after the 1: 3 against the Würzburg Kickers: Tasky and Daedlow started for Plume and Langfeld (both yellow suspended).
Hong three times in the spotlight
It includes a one-sided first half in Cologne. Viktoria was clearly better and had a lot of ball possession, Havelse was compact and waited for moments of change. But this tactic didn’t work out, because there were hardly any counterattacks, and if they did, then the bottom of the table didn’t play it well.
The Rhinelanders should have taken the lead in the first half, but didn’t reward themselves. Hong scored after nine minutes but was ruled offside. The striker then had two more good chances (22nd, 23rd), but lacked accuracy in the finish both times. Since Klefisch couldn’t get past guest keeper Quindt shortly before the break, it was goalless for the dressing room.
Cologne does not reward itself
After the break, Havelse at least showed himself to be on the offensive, Froese clearly missed (48′). From then on, Cologne was the master of the ring again, May’s long-range shot was parried by Quindt (57′) and Risse’s free kick went over it (65′). Viktoria continued to be the more active team and played to win, even substitute Marseiler couldn’t take the lead, he found his champion in Quindt (71st).
Queen draws twice
Even if the hosts were clearly better, they were a little lucky in the end, because Havelse had the only two good chances late on: Damer initially put the ball just wide to the left (83′) and then missed from a prime position (89′). Although Cologne threw everything forward in the last few minutes, it was no longer dangerous. Two lost points for Viktoria after this game.
Next Tuesday (7 p.m.) Viktoria Köln will play against FC Hürth in the Landespokal Mittelrhein and in the 3rd division on Saturday (2 p.m.) against MSV Duisburg. Havelse will continue against Viktoria Berlin next month (7 p.m.).
