Milan Fashion Week
FashionUnited invites you to discover, every Friday, a review of the fashion news of the week.
From Tuesday February 22 until Monday February 28, 2022, the fashion industry has its eyes fixed on Milan, where the fall-winter 2022-2023 women’s fashion week is taking place.
For his first physical show in Milan with Diesel, the artistic director Glenn Martens, was inspired by the 2000s for his ready-to-wear collection: “on the program: low-rise pants, light blue denim of the time and micro- High. Models looking like Britney Spears walked along the catwalk wearing on them the perfect marriage between retro spirit and a touch of modernity specific to Glenn Martens. But if there is one piece to remember from this Milanese parade, it is undoubtedly the mini-skirt made by Diesel. As original as it is daring (…) He wanted to give this garment a completely different appearance by giving it the appearance of an accessory that we have in our wardrobes: a belt. In black leather, cherry red version, in denim, with or without buckles or even adorned or not with an oversized logo of the Italian brand”, details Elle.fr.
On Thursday February 24, Prada announced the trend for the fall-winter 2022-2023 season with a piece that will very soon be a must-have according to Vogue: “one of Prada’s next objects of desire: a subtly twisted white tank top of the signature logo (…) The Prada fall-winter 2022-2023 collection imagined by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons combines impeccable tailoring and big evening accents (…) Prada imagines a new signature silhouette, where the sportswear lines of a immaculate tank top rub shoulders with the sophistication of a skirt with heterogeneous volumes and materials”.
This Friday, February 25, Gucci and Adidas confirmed their collaboration with a collection “baptized “Exquisite”. Alessandro Michele’s long-awaited new collection stayed true to the DNA of the luxury label, while incorporating a touch of sportswear that was right on trend. To do this, Gucci has called on one of the most famous equipment manufacturers on the planet: Adidas (…) A new collaboration between two fashion giants that promises to be a hit,” says Elle.fr.
Milan Fashion Week will end on February 28 and will make way for Paris Fashion Week, scheduled from February 28 to March 8, 2022.
