Lyons. He geolocates his daughter’s stolen phone in a surprising location

When the parent of a young girl victim of a theft in Lyon had the idea of activating the geolocation of the stolen device, surprise: the symbol of the telephone appeared on the card, transmitting to the address of the Grande rue de la Guillotière, in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon.
The police then carried out an investigation at this address, meeting the neighbors until they identified an apartment in which many comings and goings took place according to the inhabitants of the building…
Hundreds of stolen devices found
The police then contacted the occupant of this suspect accommodation. He informs them that many stolen objects were frequently deposited here by his roommate. The man is taken into custody.
The search that follows allows the police to get their hands on a nice jackpot : 73 telephones, 81 computers, 2 drones, around twenty jewels and various objects, including digital ones.
The suspected roommate presented himself to the investigators and was arrested. While in police custody, he admitted to being the receiver and dealer for accomplices. The first suspect, who reported his housemate to the police, denied any involvement. He was left free and is subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF).
The suspect who admitted the facts was left free with the continuation of the investigation for an identification and census of the victims and a call to order from the STD at the end for a COPJ.
