Toulouse ready to get into the Sevens
From May 20 to 22, the Stade Ernest Wallon in Toulouse is hosting the French stage of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. The Blues will be there.
Among the strongholds of rugby union, Toulouse is going to play Sevens for a weekend. Indeed, from May 20 to 22, the capital of Occitania will live to the rhythm of the French stage of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. This stage will bring together the women’s and men’s teams under the sign of performance. The Toulouse lawn will host for three days, for the first time in its history, the best international players at 7.
Editions canceled in 2020 and 2021
For the Sevens, it’s a long-awaited return to France. The event could not take place in 2020 or 2021 due to the health crisis. During the last edition which had only six stages, France was in sixth place in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. An event regularly imposed by the nations of the southern hemisphere, like South Africa, Fiji or New Zealand.
