Toulouse Pradettes keeps a cool head
After twelve days, the people of Toulouse currently occupy an armchair for the climb. Nevertheless, they do not ignite.
“No, it was not something we had planned before attacking the championship.” As Khalid Ouandjli, both player and vice-president of Toulouse Pradettes, explains, this leadership in Pool D of Regional 3 is a pleasant surprise. Nevertheless, after twelve days (8V, 3N, 1D), this place is not just the result of chance.
“In recent seasons in R3, we have often finished in the first places of the classification. Admittedly, for this exercise, the objective of the climb has never been displayed. But we are still competitors. We obviously play each game to the fullest. I think our team is quite solid. Despite everything, we are not getting fired up. We know that the road is still long (they have ten days left, editor’s note). For the moment, the priority is to take match after match and to maintain this good momentum”, continues Khalid Ouandjli, 30, who is one of the group’s executives. A workforce made up of around twenty players, with an average age of between 26 and 27 years old. “I also believe that this is the first time that we have had such a large group. So there is competition. But she remains healthy. starting with President Brahim Laamimi, and our coach Bibi Andres”, he insists.
Next game March 6
Undefeated for five days (3V, 2N), Toulouse have still not lost at home (4V, 1N). As for the classification, they are one point ahead of Soues Cigognes (2nd with one match less) and four over Léguevin (3rd with twelve matches on the clock). The next day, set for Sunday March 6, is precisely scheduled, at home, against the Léguvinois. “An obviously important part for the future”, warns Khalid Ouandjli.
Note that the first hen and the two second best will win their tickets for the upper floor. “The final sprint should be played over the last four days,” he said. One thing is certain, at Les Pradettes, keep a cool head.
