The Dutch clubs have had an excellent coefficient week. Ajax previously played a draw against Benfica and thus won 0.2 point. Thursday evening the PSV in Israel won the same, but weekly Vitesse at home (0.8 point this week), resulting in the Netherlands for the first time in history with five (!) teams active in European competitions.
PSV survives exciting final and continues in Conference League
PSV has reached the eighth final of the Conference League. Roger Schmidt’s team recorded a 1-1 draw at Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday evening. After last week’s 1-0 victory in the Philips Stadium, that was enough to survive the intermediate round. PSV came in as a substitute in the final phase, but still had to be strong in injury time. The game was briefly interrupted in the second half.
Vitesse bites off and continues a special adventure
