Charlene de Monaco reappears in a totally unexpected project: “The idea of taking part in the Blitz adventure immediately appealed to me”
Still recovering far from Monaco, Princess Charlene of Monaco has yet resurfaced to speak about a project in which she participated. It’s quite unexpected… It concerns the release of a Manga.
The state of mental and physical health of the Princess of Monaco has been worrying for some time now. At least November, Charlene of Monaco had to retire to an undisclosed location for a long recovery.
Since then, appearances have become rare and we generally hear no more of her. But the 44-year-old princess nevertheless made the front page of Monaco Matin this Thursday, February 24. Charlene has indeed reappeared for a completely unexpected project: a surprise guest in the universe of Blitz, a Manga made in Monaco whose main theme is chess.
Fans of the literary series will therefore have the pleasant surprise of discovering it in volume VI, which is scheduled for release on February 26. A project totally approved by the former South African swimmer: “I look forward to the release of the sixth volume of Blitz, beautifully sublimated by Garry Kasparov (chess champion) and drawn by Daitaro Nishihara. The idea of participating in the adventure Blitz immediately seduced me and I thank Cédric Biscay (screenwriter and creator) for inviting me to discover the world of manga”named the princess to Le Parisien, via her editor.
Still with the Parisian, the screenwriter and creator of Blitz, Cédric Biscay, a comment explained this collaboration had been set up: “Of course, I asked her if she would like to have her appear in Blitz and I went through the formal process. It was about a year ago. She immediately accepted. Later, she was able to see the boards and she didn’t ask for any changes”he expressed himself.
And this is not the first time that a member of the Monegasque princely family appears in this manga. Already in 2021, Prince Albert had been drawn in volume IV. He had subsequently received the original plates from the designer. Cédric Biscay hopes to do the same with Charlène of Monaco, “as soon as he comes back”he said.
