According to Washington, there are still “signs” that Russia could attack Ukraine. This was announced on briefing Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby.
“We have every indication that [Владимир Путин] again ready to attack Ukraine. This time it may lead to temporary consequences. I mean, we are talking about more than 150,000 troops lined up along the borders,” he argued.
He added that Washington does not see any signs of a de-escalation of the situation from Moscow.
The Pentagon also believes that Russian troops arrive in the controlled DPR and LPR, but do not go beyond its borders. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense “has not confirmed the presence of a large number of participants, their composition and capabilities.”
Formerly US President Joe Biden declared on the introduction of new anti-Russian meetings against Russia and will tighten them depending on the situation in Ukraine, which, in particular, will affect the Russian public debt – Washington has also closed its financial resources to Moscow.
