Rome, the Calenda list already close to the split: the Renzians accuse Action of mess with the M5S. The former minister: “Unworthy drama”

Sugar Mizzy February 23, 2022

Italy Viva And ActionI parts of Matteo Renzi And Carlo Calendathey had run to the municipal councils of Rome united under one symbol. After just over a hundred days they already seem close to a split. The discontent between the two souls of the Calendar listin the air since the settlement, they fell in the late evening of Tuesday: the casus belli was the election of the presidents of the special commissions Expo 2030 And Jubilee 2025, which belong to the oppositions. The first was promised by the mayor Roberto Gualtieri to the 5 Star Movement, the second to the Calendar list. For the Expo commission, the grillini indicated the former mayor Virginia Raggi, a badly digested name even by the Democratic Party after years of controversy against his administration. For the Jubilee, however, the Calenda list has proposed Dario Nanni of Action: a choice that the Renzians did not like, so much so that the two directors of Iv, Valerio Casini and Francesca Leoncini, they didn’t show up in the voting and were replaced by the colleagues of Action, Nanni and Flavia De Gregorio.

Calenda says “never with the Brothers of Italy”, but in Genoa he wants to support Mayor Bucci (with Meloni). Orlando jokes: “he doesn’t make a wrinkle”

So Raggi and Nanni come unanimously elected: the first with 11 votes out of 12 (the former mayor herself abstains), the second with 12 out of 12. A few hours later, however, a vitriolic press release: “The decision to decide the presidency of the special Expo2030 commission to the former mayor Virginia Raggi is just insane: not only for the inadequacy and the overt incompetence he demonstrated in his mandate as mayor, but also because his positions no vax they are unacceptable at a time when the institutions are engaged in a great collective effort to get out of the vaccination campaign ”, write Casini and Leoncini. Words behind which there is, however, a clash within the list that concerns the other chair, that of the Jubilee commission. “It was very sad to be kept completely in the dark about a agreement which also involved the Calenda list and discover that they were assigned to the Expo commission from the same list without that no one had informed us“, it is read. “Evidently someone had done the math without the host. It is legitimate to agree to obtain the chair of the Jubilee Commission for an exponent of Action. Unacceptable instead, vote for the mayoral candidacy against which you are candidates and which you are committed to before the Romans, not in any case “.

The clash is transferred to social networks in an instant. Flavia De Gregorio, head of the civic group, replies to Casini: “Insinuating that the vote for the commission president, which belongs to the M5s, is a mess he is a pimp from M5s precisely, which discredits everyone’s actions. No one, as you well know, made a harsher opposition to Raggi by Carlo Calenda, therefore great consistency ”. Calenda defends her: “Flavia, you are right to explain the procedure transparently. But as we know very well, and it is right to report it since the problem was raised by them, the only reason of all this cagnara is that Casini he wanted to be commission chairman in place of Nanni. Good”.

Flavia you are right to explain the procedure transparently. But as we know very well, and it is right to report it since the problem was raised by them, the only reason for all this turmoil is that Casini wanted to be the President of the Commission instead of Nanni. Good. https://t.co/ThgC8wOS9T

At that point, the leaders of Italia viva intervened Luciano Nobili: “Carlo, whoever cares about armchairs is easily demonstrated by the facts: you took them all“. Nobili alludes to the roles of group leader (for which Action has imposed De Gregorio, making the councilor weigh more, three against two) and to vice presidents in opposition to the standing committees: two went to Italia viva, Budget and Commerce, two to Action, Tourism and Equal Opportunities. “But that’s not the point,” he continues. “The point is that the councilors of Italia viva refused to vote for Raggi to lead the Expo commission, those of Action instead I voted for it. Because?”. “Luciano – Calenda angrily replies – you obviously asked me to put Casini as president of the Jubilee by voting for the Rays at Expo, being an overall agreement. I told you no. You mounted this unworthy show against Flavia. These games do them with Mastella. Circular“. A gloss that already sounds like an invitation to the two councilors to move to the Mixed group.

Luciano you asked me to put Casini as the Presidency of the Jubilee obviously voting the Rays at Expo being an overall agreement. I told you no. You edited this unworthy drama against Flavia. These games destinies with Mastella. Circular.. https://t.co/CofMTUT6A9
