“Not the same… and yet! », four successful stories about solidarity
This pretty collection of short animal films, which gives pride of place to mutual aid beyond differences in color or species, will be released in theaters on Wednesday February 23. From 4 years old.
Four animal short films make up this lovely collection around mutual aid, beyond differences in color or species. If 3D films suffer from their computer graphics, the others are distinguished by their beautiful 2D animation (Black & White, The White Crow). And their hard-hitting scenario, distantly inspired by Andersen’s tale The ugly Duckling.
The four stories in two words: The anthology encourages solidarity within the same species, between a dark sheep and its light congeners (Black White), between a white crow and its black congeners (The White Crow). It also offers more surprising alliances, between a baby bird and an origami (The Sparrow and the Paper Airplane), between a goupil and a wading bird (The Fox and the Bird).
The argument to make them want: Of the four films, The White Crow (2018) is probably the most current. The Croatian Miran Miosic imagines a setting that resembles a paradise for birds. Then the soft colors turn to faded hues when he describes the consequences of global warming and pollution – pesticides sprayed by planes. Either a striking apocalypse landscape.
