Chief Group Accounting for Scandinavian group within design, communication and technology
The North Alliance (NoA) is a group consisting of Scandinavia’s leading companies in design, communication and technology; such as NoA Ignite, Anorak, NoA Consulting, NoA Connect, Scienta, Agitech, Unfold and Bold in Norway. The company is currently working on further developing today’s finance department to be able to scale NoA into the company’s next development phases. The finance department wants to provide a support company’s financial activities, management and the owners with reliable data and professional visualization, as well as good analyzes, decision basis and advice. NoA wants to lay a solid and modern foundation to support a group in growth and constant development.
In connection with this, we are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to a newly created position.
In the company, you will have the opportunity to develop as the role and responsibilities increase. With your professional weight, technical knowledge and skills, experience and good interpersonal skills, you will work closely with colleagues in the finance departments in each market, the individual subsidiaries and with other managers in the company. You will also work a lot with “best practice” / efficiencies across national borders. In this role you also get the opportunity to influence the organization and the role related to this central function.
The position involves global responsibility for guidelines, processes and financial reporting. Includes follow-up of each individual market (Country CFOs), subsidiaries and accounting team in Poland. The position is also responsible for the system support for the accounting and reporting processes. The position reports to the company’s Group CFO.
Tasks
- periodic reporting, including consolidation of stalls
- lead the audit and preparation of consolidated financial statements and notes in accordance with IFRS
- board and management reporting
- responsible for accounting both internally (management) and externally (statutory)
- follow-up of the various markets and associated Norwegian and foreign subsidiaries
- development of the company’s accounting and ERP system, and further development of digitization in accounting, consolidation and reporting.
- take part in budgeting and forecasting work
- participation in and management of projects, for example by further acquisitions of companies
Desired qualifications
- higher economic education, preferably a master’s degree in economics / finance, MRR or similar
- 5-10 years relevant experience, preferably from auditing and management of accounting function
- very solid understanding of accounting and finance, including consolidated financial statements and IFRS
- experience with reporting to the stock exchange is an advantage
- good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and generally good system understanding
- good knowledge of consolidation and visualization tools
- experience in leading change processes
- very good Norwegian (possibly Scandinavian) and English skills, both written and oral. The business language of the company is English
