Almost all parks open again after heavy storm damage
Last week’s storm caused a lot of damage in the park and the Amsterdamse Bos. The craftsmen are still working hard to clear all the fallen trees and branches. Most parks in Amsterdam are now open again. Because the trees have been hit hard by the storm, the advice remains: be careful in the parks! For the Forest, we strongly advise not to go there yet and keep an eye on the website.
During the stormy days of the past week, the Vondelpark, Wertheimpark, Amstelpark and Erasmuspark were closed. Only the Erasmus Park and Vondelpark are now (partially) closed. Here are still a few large trees and branches to be cleared. This is the current state of affairs:
- Amstel Park: open
- Wertheim Park: open
- Vondelpark: only Platanenlaan entrance closed, otherwise open. Open all Tuesday evening.
- Erasmus Park: closed. Probably open again in the course of Wednesday.
Amsterdam forest
The Amsterdamse Bos is also being cleaned up considerably. It will probably take another 2 to 3 weeks before the Forest is back in order. More information about locations in the Amsterdamse Bos will be shared on amsterdamsebos.nl† You can also call De Boswinkel on 020 251 7840 or send an email to [email protected].
