Sweden’s Mindler uses the Finnish app to promote digital mental health care
Mental health is a major societal challenge, especially after the covid-19 pandemic. Today one in four people suffer from mental illness at some point in life, with twice as much risk for women as men to get the diagnosis.
Swedish-based online platform for treatment of mental health Mindler has acquired Finnish startup Medified Solutions Oy to bring in better mental health for the people. The acquisition will help the platform use Medified’s new technology to accurately measure treatment outcomes further.
Founded in 2018 by Rickard Finished, Johannes Hatem and Rickard Lagerqvistoffers the digital care provider Mindler access to fast and efficient treatment through an app, where patients can book video chat sessions with psychologists. Crimea Talia, CEO of Mindlersaid: “The global economy is losing more than $ 1 trillion annually due to depression and anxiety and in a landscape where healthcare costs are rising, governments need to invest their budgets in solutions that can deliver the best treatments. We want to give the world better mental health and it requires us to build the digital treatment platform that offers treatment and value for money. ”
Medified was founded by medical students in 2019 and has developed and clinically implemented a digital software for monitoring mental health. Its data sources provide mental health care with the data needed to measure clinically validated treatment outcomes, and contribute to the creation of patient-centered tools for mental health care staff. It is a CE-certified medical device and the personal data flow between professionals and patients is secured with end-to-end encryption.
Valtteri KorkiakoskiCEO of Medified, said: “Solving global mental health challenges requires ambition and innovation. Together with Mindler, we can change mental health care.”
