Younited Credit Tripled to Consumption in Portugal in 2021 – Companies
Younited Credit lent 30 million euros in consumer credit in 2021, above the target of 25 million euros and more than triple the amount granted in 2020, and this year it expects a lender between 80 and 90 million euros.
In past customers, above all, in credit for works at home, specific credit (that of several single monies in a single loan) and liquidity (without specific credit).
In conversation with the executive vice president of Youni Credit Portugal, Annie Crisited Credit Portugal, he also said that in 2021 the company managed to make profits in Portugal for the first time, which was very positive for a company in the Portuguese market (2018) and who still didn’t count the profits in 2021, but didn’t want to say how much that profit was. The average juror rate of the sayings in Portugal was not responsible, referring only to the fact that it depends on the risk of each client and that “low” interest rates may go to those allowed by Banco Portugal.
Nor did he want to indicate which credit default rate or ratio, stating that it is “very low” as there is great “risk control”. “Our ‘portfolio’ is healthy”, he stressed.
In 2021, the Younited Credit group (the operation in total, not only in Portugal) reached 1,200 million euros of loans granted, of which almost 50% originated outside France. Already the annual corporate revenues are 150 million euros in 2021, said one company.
The company wants to continue to grow and expand to three new European countries in the coming years, with the objective of “serving 80% of the European market by 2025”, according to official information.
Regarding companies’ difficulties in accessing Younited Credit as customer information with banks, Annie Criscenti said that there are still difficulties in Portugal, but that there are also improvements.
In December of last year, Younited partnered with Sonae to grant personal credit (through the Universo card).
Younited has 500 employees in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal. There are 28 people dedicated to the Portuguese market, said an official source.
