MOSCOW, 17 February. /TASS/. At the end of 2020, Russia reached a six-year minimum in the energy intensity of the gross domestic product. Compared to 2015, the indicator, defined as the volume of energy consumption in relation to GDP, decreased by 2.9%, follows from the state report “On the state of energy saving and energy efficiency in the Russian Federation in 2020”, published in 2020. site Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
“In 2020, energy withdrawal in Russia was withdrawn by 27 million tons of reference fuel (tons of standard fuel – approx. TASS). 32 t. c. t / million rubles compared to 2015 – by 2.9%,” the study says.
At the same time, the rate of reduction in energy intensity, which characterizes the degree of reduction in energy consumption, is slowing down, follows from the report. So, in 2018 there was an indicator of 1.4% in annual terms, in 2019 – by 3%.
In addition, there is still a gap in the level of energy intensity of the RF GDP and the countries of the world are described, Ilya Torosov, deputy head of the Ministry of Economic Development, told TASS, commenting on the data of the report. “The movement of the world economy towards carbon neutrality requires a reduction in the energy intensity of global GDP in 2020-2030 by an average of 4.2% per year. At the same time, average rates reduce the energy intensity of Russia’s GDP in 2015-2020 in the world as a whole – 1.6 %,” Torosov said through the press service.
He also noted that today the programs of the Russian Federation 81 use energy efficiency, which should stimulate the growth of responsible consumption of energy resources.
