Bordeaux: In unison before Monaco
Before the reception of Monaco on Sunday, Bordeaux, which has still not formalized David Guion as coach, is trying to rally its supporters. The Girondins really need it.
In great difficulty this season in Ligue 1, the Girondins de Bordeaux are now in last place in the standings. If efforts have been made for recruitment, especially in defense, the club claims to need everyone, players and supporters, to succeed in its maintenance mission. So it was announced yesterday that this Friday’s training session to prepare for the reception of Monaco, would take place at 11.30 a.m. at the Matmut Atlantique, and would be open to the public. A signing session is even organized following this training session. Access will be free and supporters are invited to come and encourage their team. The latter are delighted with the news and the initiative has been mentioned. It may even be an opportunity for Bordeaux supporters to get to know their new coach, who, if he has not yet been made official, should be during the day. David Guion would even have already led his first training session on Tuesday.
New coach, some new players and supporters together, the Gironde management is trying everything to obtain its maintenance. For that, it will be necessary to achieve a good result this Sunday against Monaco. This requires a quality defensive performance, while for the moment, Bordeaux has the worst defense in Europe and has conceded at least one but per game this season. It is this sector which should constitute the biggest project of the new trainer David Guion.
Training open to the public on Friday at @MatmutAtl ! ?
