the Region hands over the keys to a hydrogen vehicle to starred chef Christian Têtedoie
This Wednesday, Christian Têtedoie became the proud user of a Kangoo H2, a hydrogen vehicle born from Renault’s collaboration with Symbio.
The Grenoble equipment manufacturer, a subsidiary of Michelin, remains the owner of the car, while HYmpulsion, also in the bosom of Michelin, facilitates its location for the starred chef from Lyon.
At the origin of this clean vehicle loan, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region wishes to support the deployment of hydrogen on its territory. Its president Laurent Wauquiez has already mentioned the objective of being the leading region in Europe in this area.
“The choice of chef Têtedoie was imposed with his green Michelin star in favor of a sustainable cuisine which also involves the use of a hydrogen car to fetch his products for an exceptional cuisine.“, comments the community in a press release.
“With all my team, we have been working for several years now to put into practice, in a concrete way, a sustainable gastronomya reacted Christian Têtedoie, who becomes the ambassador of hydrogen mobility in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Cooking with respect for the products of the land, in the extension of the work of the producers, is the basis of our approach”.
In addition to the hydrogen Kangoo, the chef of the Antiquaille restaurant, also very busy with his project to convert the Château de Lacroix-Laval, will have unlimited access to H2 stations in the region to recharge the vehicle.
HYmpulsion must build five new stations this year, including one in Saint-Priest and the other in Vénissieux.
