Monaco signs a historic result at the Olympic Games
Rudy Rinaldi and Boris Vain honored the colors of Monaco.
They finish in a remarkable 6th place. This is the best ranking ever achieved by Monaco at the Winter and Summer Olympics.
” We’re going to break everything”. Here are Rudy Rinaldi’s strong words before the end of the event. At the end of the first two rounds, where they finished 7th, motivation and determination are stronger than ever for the two Monegasque bobsledders.
On the third run, the Monegasque two-man bobsleigh, always regular on the trajectories and at the right tempo, achieved an excellent time of 59”57 at the finish. Thanks to this reference time, the Monaco team set the 4th time behind the three German crews. She thus manages to temporarily climb to 5th place.
It’s a great pride and there must be no disappointment

A small error in a turn, however, prevents the “red and white” bobsledders from getting even closer to the podium. This is what will drop them to 6th place at the finish line. Moreover, Rudy Rinaldi does not hide his disappointment. “It was a good fight. […] I wanted to get the best run of my career and in the end, because of a turn, I didn’t do it… I think we deserved better. »
Be that as it may, this result becomes the best in Olympic history for Monegasque sport. And it is the bobsledders, Rudy Rinaldi and Boris Vain, who are the holders. Enough to reward all the work of the bobsleigh team under the leadership of coach Bruno Mingeon. They came for to fight and that’s exactly what they did.
