Listen to Future Islands groovled new single ‘King Of Sweden’
Future Islands has returned today (February 16) with a brand new song – listen to the groovy ‘King Of Sweden’ below.
The new song follows the stand-alone track ‘Peach’, which the band released last summer and was their first original song since their sixth album, ‘As Long As You Are’, was released in 2020.
It is not yet clear if ‘King Of Sweden’ and ‘Peach’ are a taste of the band’s seventh studio album, which they confirmed in 2021 that they had already started working on.
For now, listen to ‘King Of Sweden’ below.
Next week (February 21), Future Islands will embark on a comprehensive headline tour in the UK and Europe, their first since 2018.

Reviewing Future Island’s new album “As Long As You Are”, NME wrote: “‘As Long As You Are’ may be an unexpected handbrake turn for the Future Islands and it may not be as hitchhiking as its predecessor, but it’s a refreshing record in itself and one that throws up lots of existential problems.”
