A dozen citizen associations, representing a total of more than 100 associations in Aquitaine and Occitanie, announced on Monday February 14 that they had decided to contact the Council of State to alert the magistrates to the financing plan for the Grand Sud-Ouest rail project (GPSO) which, according to them, contains serious flaws that could unbalance the budgets of the communities concerned by this project. An approach accompanied in parallel by the elected ecologists of New Aquitaine.
Remember that this project, for an announced amount of 14.3 billion euros, should make it possible to connect Bordeaux to Dax and Toulouse thanks to two new high-speed lines. Its financing plan provides for an equal 40% participation of the State and the communities of New Aquitaine and Occitanie (regions, departments, etc.) included. While Europe must complete this round table up to 20%.
The opinion of the Council of State will only be known through the Ministry
