Armenian expert warns.
The Lukashenka regime is engaged in counterfeiting potato seeds. About this in an interview with a correspondent “News of Armenia” Statement by the Chairman of the NGO “Agrarian and Peasant Union of Armenia” Hrach Berberyan.
“This country every time declares elite potato seeds, although it uses a typical forgery of seeds from Europe, changing the label and density, including seeds by Armenian farmers at 180 drams (30 cents – ed.) per 1 kg. They do not have the rights to sell these seeds under their name, as this is the property of mainly Dutch companies.
And that’s just potatoes. One can imagine what Belarus is doing in other areas.
In the lands, mostly infected, and grown on these lands of Belarus, seeds under the patronage of the state are sold abroad.
We suggest Armenian farmers to refrain from buying such seeds. They will not provide a normal harvest, and even infect the earth.
We ordered so that Belarusian potato seeds would not reach Armenian farmers. We do not have a problem with substitution, European companies are ready for the already existing Armenian seed producers. The price will be higher, but the quality will be much higher.
On our part, there was an appeal to the post office with a demand to tighten the import of counterfeit Belarusian starches.
I also urge Russian farmers to take part in this issue and not allow their lands to be bought out,” Berberyan said.
