a festival calls on all emerging photographers
Notice to photography enthusiasts. This artistic event will be an opportunity for you to reveal your talent! As every year since its creation in 2008, the MAP of the photos of the festival returns to Toulouse. This event free rewards the best projects of the participants. It aims to democratize photography and educate the public about the discipline.
A real springboard for these emerging photographers, he discovered in 13 years more than 31 young talents. And again for this 14th edition, the organizers of the Festival respondent all major photographersof all nationalities and without age limit, to apply.

What technical constraints?
Candidates will have to carry out a photographic project on the theme “Celebration(s)”, in total freedom. From photojournalism to documentary or visual photography, the idea is to reveal the definition of this word in the form ofreal, fictional, imaginary story or mythological. The jury will be made up of professionals, and the participants must succeed in surprising them “by the audacity, the imagination and the interpretation of this word, by bringing new perspectives on photography”, underline the organizers.
However, Technical constraints are imposed. Will be accepted: digital images in high definition, color or black and white; high-definition, color or black and white digitized silver images. Finally, the photographs must not contain no signatures or watermarks or others Copyright.

How to participate ?
Each participant will have to send his series through a case including:
- Of 20 to 25 photographs maximum
- UN presentation text of the photographic project
- A mini-biography
- The full contact of the participant
Applicants must then send the file via the WeTransfer account from the festival to the address festivalmap.wetransfer.com.

A grant of 4,000 euros for the MAP Grand Prix
This year again, the festival supports the winners through two scholarships. The first will be delivered as part of the Grand Prix CARD/Departmental Council 31. The winner will win a grant of €4,000 and will be published on website www.mapphoto.fr in the month of May 2022.
Participating in the Festival was a very rewarding and unforgettable experience, both personally and professionally. I had the opportunity to introduce my work to an international audience and I had very positive feedback. This scholarship allows me to continue my research work and I can finally devote 100% of my professional life to photography”, admits Ciro Battiloro, winner of the 2021 edition.

1,000 euros for a workshop in connection with the photographer Yzza Slaoui
Finally, the CARD Stock Exchange/Face à La Mer comes in the form of a workshop in connection with the Moroccan photographer Yzza Slaoui. It was created by the Festival Photo MAP Toulouse team in collaboration with the Rencontres Photographiques de Tanger/Face à la mer.
The work of the talented photographer focuses mainly on social and gender inequality issuesthe Conflictsthe women’s issue and that of climate change. This exhibition, in tribute to the photographer (who died last December) and her photographic commitment, will reward a young artist from the Mediterranean basin. He will accept a grant of €1,000.
