AS Monaco is about to drop one of its defenders on loan from Switzerland. While the winter transfer window with the Helvetii has not yet closed, the Rock club will thus lend its 20-year-old Serbian international defender Strahinja Pavlovic. With 15 caps on the clock, Pavlovic is an experienced defender for his young age but he will go to the Super League side to gain playing time, as informed foot market.
Pavlovic loaned to FC Basel
Thus, the leaders of Monaco have decided to loan Pavlovic to FC Basel, third in the championship for the moment and who will benefit from a purchase option on this interesting loan, both for the Swiss club and for the Serbian player. Under contract until 2024, Pavlovic saw his future blocked on the Monaco side, with a 5th place in the hierarchy of defenders behind Maripan, Badiashile, Disasi and Matsima. After a loan to Cercle Bruges last season, he is now heading to Switzerland and Monaco should quickly formalize this loan.
