Toulouse: repair instead of throwing away, you will be financed
This is a measure that had been somewhat overlooked due to the health crisis. Adopted in October 2020, the implementation of a first repair by Toulouse Métropole aimed to encourage individuals to have their devices repaired rather than seeing them end up in the recycling center. This financial aid, which makes it possible to cover up to 30% of the amount of the repair, up to a limit of 100 euros, was really deployed last fall.
And for Gnadang Ousmane, president of the waste and circular economy commission at Toulouse Métropole, the result is encouraged. “Over the period from October 26 to December 31, more than 250 requests were submitted and 178 accepted, she explains. This corresponds to 7,350 euros in aid, or an average of around 41 euros. And 75% of those questioned claim to have had their object repaired because of the premium. »
Less than 35,000 euros in income
This aid concerns household appliances, telephony, audiovisual, tools, clocks, etc. It is granted subject to income conditions, for households earning less than 35,000 euros per year, provided that the object be designated to a professional of the Répar’acteurs network, rolled out by the Chambers of Trades and Crafts and Ademe. There are about fifty in the territory of Toulouse Métropole.
