The US military convoy heading for Slovakia is around the corner: Soldiers have crossed the Czech border
The first vehicles of the American military convoy entered the Czech Republic across the border in Rozvadov in the Tachov region on Tuesday at 21:00. Soldiers are moving from Germany to practice in Slovakia.
The first roughly 12 trucks entered the country with a two-hour delay from the original plan. They will continue along the highway to Ostrov near Stříbro, where they have a technical break. This will be followed by a move to Rančířov in the Jihlava region, where the soldiers will sleep. According to Dvořáková, the convoy will cross Czech roads at night, divided into five parts. Each section will be divided into three to five groups, which will be passed one hour apart for traffic flow. Three groups will leave on Tuesday night. American soldiers will come to Rančírov near Jihlava in several streams a day. The last ones should leave on February 22. The camp will also serve them when they return in the second half of March.
