The scaled houses, shops with fully furnished shop windows, churches where you can even see the rooster on the tower and factories together form a Brabant town from 1900. But you can also really step into the past and visit the shoemaker, clog factory and forge, all from about a hundred years ago. There are also fully furnished rooms, a school and even an authentic printing house.
Landscape Museum
Beek-Ubbergen, Gelderland – Our flat country turned out not to be boring at all when it comes to landscapes. You can see that at the Landscape Museum, where you see 11 typical Dutch landscapes together. Including the hills of South Limburg with the rotary dryers and even one of the Wadden Islands. Inside, beautiful photos show the importance of preserving our ancient cultural landscapes. In this museum even a badger lives in his badger castle! And in an aquarium you can see what lives in a farm ditch. The Landscape Museum is open for a limited time, but it is completely free.
Dino Park Estate Tenaxx
Wedde, Groningen – Not only life-size dinosaurs are hiding at Tenaxx Estate. They also have a super nice miniature park, where about 80 miniatures show how beautiful the north of the Netherlands is. Here too you cannot escape the dinosaurs, but now in miniature. Look, there are two fighting for a historical take on the mini-humans. The entire estate is also full of special trees.
