The deployment of 5G continues to stir up the wrath of local residents. In the Pradettes district, west of Toulouse, Aurelie Brossiera throw a petition February 10 last, which is addressed to Christopher Alvesdistrict mayor Lardenne Pradettes and Jean-Baptiste de Scorraille, elected in charge of the deployment of 5G in Toulouse. To date, the petition counts 463 signatures out of the 500 targeted.

The disapproved location

First complaint from local residents: deviate the relay antenna 5G from the operator Bouygues which should be installed near the Pradettes stadium. Indeed, the chosen environment is located less than 200 m from the occitan college (Calandreta del País Tolzan), from Ferdinand de Lesseps school and of Avempace school. The 30 m pylon will also be located 38 meters away from a 30-unit building and 40 m from individual houses. Thus, the future land of the relay antenna “does not seem to respond to the evidence of the precautionary principle now enshrined in the constitution and recognized by case law” explained Aurelie Brossier in his petition transferred to the site change.org.

We love our neighborhood and the zone of green spaces on which a 30-meter-high pylon will nevertheless be erected. This environment of the Pradettes stadium, pleasant to live in for all our families, will be degraded by the construction of this relay antenna. What quality of life for local residents whose windows will overlook this pylon? Not to mention the loss of real estate value or rental attractiveness for the owners of these homes” worries Aurélie.

This point of view is shared by 463 residents of Pradettes, signatories of the petition. The latter do not fail to react to the project to install the relay antenna:

Real health risk?

At the center of the many debates on the 5G broadcaster: health risk. The WHO classified in 2014 mobile phone waves as potentially carcinogenic. Faced with this risk, everyone agrees to recognize the vulnerability of children and seniors to 5G in France.
